I had the honor of photographing a fellow photographers wedding last year in Shingle Springs, California. Taylor is a peer of mine and I had recently second shot a few of her weddings when she got engaged. She immediately asked if I would photograph her wedding day and I was so excited but also a little nervous. It's always intimidating photographing another photographer even if you are friends.
Taylor described her dream wedding as Boho-Rustic-Chic. She wanted drapped fabrics on a big old barn, mismatched tableware and little hints of her favorite style western. I think at one point she told me she wanted her wedding day to feel like a country love song and let me tell you she nailed it! The Lehman Barn in Shingle Springs is the perfect back drop for a rustic-country wedding and a boho bride.
But besides how beautiful her wedding day looked what really made this day special was how beautiful it felt. From the moment I stepped into the bridal suite for getting ready photo's to the very last dance the day was full of nothing but abundant love for the bride and groom and from the bride and groom. Tears of joy flowed all day and there wasn't a moment that the dance floor wasn't packed! I can only hope that all my couples truly enjoy their wedding day the way Ryan and Taylor did. Here's a look at their stunning wedding...
